🎥 Video Introduction with Full Transcription
One thing that I’ve heard from facilitators over the years is could we have a handout that would help people remember what they learned from the program and what each panel of the box was about, so that when they go home, they can remember,” Hey, now what does this reflection mean?”
And if they were gonna share it with others, they would have a way of doing that more effectively.
And I have here a baby box for participant handout. So the first thing I’m gonna do is I’m going to teach you how to turn this piece of paper into a box shaped handout. And to do that, we’re going to fold this in half and just like you’re making a paper airplane.
Once you folded it in half, you’ll notice that there is one side that has the numbers. 1, 2, 3, and four, and another side that has the numbers. 5, 6, 7, 8. You’re going to have the numbers that are 1, 2, 3, and four on the outside and fold the larger numbers onto the inside by, by making a half fold. Then you open this and you’re going to make a quarter fold.
Like this and a quarter fold like this.
Once you’ve folded this, you’ll find out that you’ve got four outside panels. ,Four inside panels, and then surprise, surprise. Four final questions. These are customizable and for me. I’ve got it set. So panel number one is. What is the box? The box is our mindset for safety and success.
Then we’ve got the build your box. The outside is the observable self and what each of those three panels represent. And then we have the signals to think out of the box, you know, feeling boxed in and then boxed in behaviors. And then finally. On the outside, my box protects my inner self, so you have to own your box.
So your box owns, you change the door. That must be opened from the inside. Now we’re gonna go through the structure of my box. Helps me understand and so. I have to open with curiosity. My box helps me succeed. I don’t wanna fail, so I need to ask for more. My box helps me make choices. I trust my old thinking, let out the old, let in the new, I use my better box to work with others, and so then I am able to build a bigger box.
So basically in this. Handout, you’ve got the key messages of the outside and the inside. And then once you’ve worked on that bigger and better box, we’ve got your password place to write down your password, A place to to identify what are the changes that you’re most excited about, the do say impact on others and what you see in the mirror.
And then share your box. It’s actually who are you gonna share this with and by when? And keep your box nearby. Where will you put it?
So it’s kind of actually gives you like a little strategy for how you use your box. Now you can change all of this in the PowerPoint based on the topic, but now your participants have a beautiful little handout to take with them that they can use to share with others and to remind themselves of the amazing transformational experience you led them through In the box experience.
