For more than 12 years, Brains on the Beach (affectionately known as BoB) has been gathering change agents to co-create new solutions to emerging issues and opportunities. Often referred to as “an offsite for people who run offsites,” we invite beautiful brains to inspiring locations to think and act differently for the good of all.

The question at the core of every BoB has been, “What are the conditions for true co-creation?” The collective wisdom from these events have been gathered into what we call “The Spirit of BoB.”

Being co-creative may no longer be enough.

With the rapid and expanding development off artificial intelligence-based tools that can provide immediate access to a wealth of information and resources with just a few keystrokes, our fundamental BoB question has changed. We no longer are simply practicing the concept of co-creation. Instead, we now are exploring what it means to be co-generative in teams comprised of humans and AI.

We changed co-creative to co-generative as the G in CHAT GPT is Generative…

We are not using it as a technical term, but rather as a distinction between a group of humans being creative with each other, and a group of humans being creative with AI.

The format will be three sessions and a lot of unstructured time for the “real work.”

Session 1: Creating Co-Generative Teams and Topic Selection

Get into teams (each team will be 2-4 people and one AI)

Select an issue or opportunity you would like to generate a solution for.

Session 2: Session 2: Solution Co-Generation

Work together with your team to create a pitch of your solution.

Session 3: Pitching and Feedback

Pitch results to each other and provide feedback.

Integrate our learnings.

At the end of our time together you will:

Have access to the ideas we co-generate.
Have a real-life experience integrating AI into the creation process.
HAVE FUN with other cool people in cool places talking about cool things.

NO EXPERIENCE WITH AI IS NECESSARY.
ALL CHANGE AGENTS ARE WELCOME (and yeah, you can define what Change Agent means).

***NOTE: BoB events are run “at cost.” No one is making money off these events. Our goal is to charge enough so the hosts do not need to pay for leading this experience. If there is money left over, we will put that into the “BoB Kitty,” which we use to support our work running BoB events with Non-Profit organizations.
